Show desktop icon on the Quick Launch

Adding item in quick launch is very easy. Just need to drag the item to quick launch. But some time we delete the desktop icon from the quick launch. Which causes problem to toggle desktop and current open window. If you facing same problem don’t worry.. it’s a little task..

Steps are as follows:

1. Open a notepad file and past the following code then save the as “show_desktop.scf”. Filename doesn’t matter just keep the extension as scf.

IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

2. Click and then drag the show_desktop icon to your Quick Launch toolbar.

That’s it

*** BTW you can always go to desktop from any open window by pressing the Windows logo key+D on your keyboard
